Fun & Games/Nature 38 June–August 2014 Cary Senior Center Open Jam – Folk Music Bring your acoustic instrument and desire to meet others who love folk music! This weekly group is open to anyone with an interest in music and hav- ing a great time. Singers and audience members are welcome as well! Location: Classroom 302 75960 Every Wed 7-9 p.m. Fun Fiddlers Practice Session This group is for anyone who is interested in learn- ing to play fiddle tunes in a group. All are welcome! Location: Conference Room 75962 Every 2nd & 4th Mon Monthly 7-8:45 p.m. Adult Nature Adult Nature Programs (age 16 & up) Stretch your legs, clear your mind, and experi- ence nature. You'll continue your lifelong learning through informative and educational nature walks that are focused on seasonal plant and wildlife ac- tivity. May involve some slow walking on steps. Location: Stevens Nature Center/Hemlock Bluffs Fees: $6(R) $8(N) (1 class) Birding by Ear Improve your birding skills focusing on identifying birds by songs and calls. Bring a flashlight. 76240 Sat Jul 19 8-9:30 p.m. Plant Power August brings transition in the preserve. Summer is a fantastic time to find, identify and study plants. Fall is closer than you think! 76241 Sat Aug 2 10-11:30 a.m. The programs offered by the Stevens Nature Center are held at the beautiful Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Trained, professional Preserve staff will assist you in expanding your outdoor skills, increas- ing your natural resource knowledge and enhancing your lifelong learning. Meet other music enthusists during an open music session! Evaluations You may receive an evaluation in the mail after a class or program.
