An Introduction to the Art of Calligraphy From traditional to ornate hand lettering styles, practice and have fun learning new calligraphy fonts while learning to use the tools of calligraphy: India ink, dip pen and variety of pen nibs. Design and apply new lettering styles to note cards, personalized bookmarks and other station - ary projects. The use of materials is included in the $5 supply fee due to the instructor at the begin- ning of the first class. Focus will be on the essential elements of drawing, including contour lines, value, texture, composition and per - spective, while exploring the use of a variety of dry media. Bring a 9x12 sketchbook and let's begin to draw! One point, two point and multiple points will be taught. Shading techniques that eliminate lines will com- pliment these three dimension drawings.
