Each session is primarily a field excursion with a classroom ses- sion relevant to a specific nature topic. Equipment provided. Children are dropped off for these programs. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) Stream Team Explore the streams in the nature preserve to cool off during the heat of summer. Beat the heat! 76819 Sun Jun 15 2-4 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13-15) If you think your child has seen everywhere at Hemlock Bluffs, think again! These programs journey to far corners of the preserve on a quest to find nature rarely seen by the public. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions, and bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) Herp Patrol We'll search throughout upland and wetland habitats for the "herps" (snakes, lizards, turtles and frogs) of Hemlock Bluffs. 76824 Sun Jun 22 2-4 p.m. N at u re Ea rt h l a u g h s i n f lowe rs Babysitting Safely (age 11-14) Babysitting is serious business and a big responsibility. Learn to be prepared and knowledgeable to care for children. Skills include first aid/safety, CPR overview, using an epi-pen, and understanding developmental stages. Following written and skills test, participants receive a completion certificate. Instructor is a registered pediatric nurse.
