The mission of the Cary Teen Council is to empower teens
with the core values of leadership, accountability and a heart
for service. The Council accomplishes these goals by providing
volunteer opportunities, leadership opportunities, establishing
high standards for behavior and promoting teens to effectively
communicate while managing their time and volunteer profiles.

Each year at the Annual Volunteer awards banquet, the Town of Cary
Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department gives various
awards to outstanding volunteers.

This year, Sonia Su received the Herb Young award
for overall outstanding service and Kyra Jasper
was named the Most Outstanding Teen Volunteer.
