Moreover, cloths and clothes also carry so much memory and emo - tion, and bring us a sense of security and even pride, either in our consciousness or sub-consciousness. In this exhibition, installation artist Jan-Ru Wan uses silk, clothes from the past, and a variety of clothing objects to provoke responses from the viewers and resonate with their own feelings. Wan combines the multiplicity of small im - ages, details, and forms to construct her art work by revealing the individual and the universal simultaneously. This exhibition is part of an Artist Residency project in which the artist will be working with Cary Seniors and students at Cary Arts Center to re-imagine clothing and stories into a new artwork. *Please register for the lectures using course codes #77588 (10:30 a.m.) and #77589 (1 p.m.) Shared Visions: a Sampler by Judy Lynn In Clothes We Remember: Jan Ru Wan
