Youth Sports Youth athletic programs are designed to provide a fun learning and growing experience for boys and girls. Youth can benefit from league play in baseball, softball, volleyball and basketball as well as a variety of sports camps/clinics in volleyball, baseball, golf, softball, tennis, and basketball. These programs are designed to provide a competitive recreation opportunity that promotes fitness and well being to the participants through team and individual league play. The goals of the program include participation, sportsmanship, skill development and fun. See the Special Events section for athletic tournaments and events. Baseball/Softball If you played baseball or softball last year, a reminder postcard will be mailed to you automatically. If you have moved or would like to be added to the mailing list, please email Tracey.Hedgpeth@townofcary.org or call 919-469- 4062. Forms are available Jan 16. The program registration form is not valid for this activity. Remember ALL players must register. Baseball/Softball (age 5–18) The season begins with practices in early April and games begin in May. T-Ball (only) will be divided into Spring and Summer seasons. New players in leagues ages 11 & up are encouraged to attend a skills review session prior to the season. A special registration form is required for this activity. Information will be on the Town website at http: //games.townofcary.org/. A recording will also be on the Athletic Game Cancellation Line (919) 319- 4500. Updates are made at 3 p.m. each weekday, 7 a.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday. If a decision is made after these times, it will be made at the facility by the officials.
