Of course there's the Pomp and Circumstance of England, appropriate for this time of year, and an English Folk Song Suite. How about Pryor's Blue Bells of Scotland or an Irish Tune by Granger? We'll visit the town of Invercargill in New Zealand and sing a song of Canada. The area's premier British-style brass band will perform audience-pleasing selections of marches, musicals, light classical music, and traditional brass band tunes. Not to be missed! www.trianglebrass.org Seven O'Clock Rock Series Take time to strut your stuff on the streets of Cary! A block party experience in Downtown Cary will find the streets closed off, merchants open late, good food and drink, and the opportunity to enjoy great music with friends and neighbors. Dance lessons are offered prior to the start of the concert! All performances are free and take place at the intersection of Academy Street and Chatham Street. Seven O'Clock Rock Series: Polka Night with the Polka Plus Band Friday, May 8 | 7 p.m. | Free Yankovic Day brings polka fans together to hear the music of the late Frankie Yankovic. 2015 will be the 20th annual concert performed by the Polka Plus Band. Mr. Yankovic performed with the band in 1997. It is in the spirit of keeping his music alive for the younger generation that the band performs each year. Free dance lesson at 7 p.m., and concert at 7:30 p.m. Spring Sertoma Series Sertoma Amphitheatre is nestled away inside Bond Park—a perfect setting for Spring concerts. Come early for a seat, or pack your own chair. Please note: food and leashed pets are permitted, but please leave alcoholic beverages at home. SAS Showchoir VocalMotion with Audio Kudzu Sunday, May 10 | 3 p.m. | Free VocalMotion is an all-volunteer adult show choir sponsored by SAS. Its members are employees, spouses, and friends of SAS who have a love for music and dance and are dedicated to bringing quality entertainment to one and all.
