January Jewish Cultural Festival Monday, December 22 | 4:30 p.m. | Free Cary Arts Center Join us on the 7th night of Chanukah to celebrate Jewish culture in Cary! Enjoy traditional Jewish foods, crafts, hands-on activities for the whole family, entertainment, and educational programs. We will also be collecting hats and gloves to distribute area shelters. Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition Submissions Poetry Submissions for the seventh annual Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition are now open. The deadline for submissions is January 5. Three Kings Day Parade Saturday, January 3 | 1–4 p.m. | Free Downtown Cary Three Kings Day commemorates the eve that gifts are exchanged in Latino countries. In Cary, various Latino cultures will march in a colorful parade to celebrate this important holiday. The event will feature dancing, music and typical Latino foods. Winter Wonderland at Bond Park (age 3 and up) Friday-Saturday, January 9–10 | Fred G. Bond Metro Park $18 per person Come dressed to play at this unique Winter Wonderland experience in Bond Park. Over the course of two days, Snow My Yard will make snow for you to enjoy on the popular sledding slope. Pre-registration is required. Only registered sledders will be permitted in sledding area. Sledding tubes will be provided.
