You'll continue your lifelong learning through informative and educational nature walks that are focused on seasonal plant and wildlife activity. May involve some slow walking on steps. Our adventures will encourage the understanding and appreciation of the natural world at night. This old- fashioned camp-style program includes nature activities and crafts, night hikes, and campfire snacks around the fire pit. Each program has a different nature topic. Each session is primarily a field excursion with a classroom session relevant to a specific nature topic. Equipment provided. Children are dropped off for these programs. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) • NIGHT ADVENTURES! Explore the preserve as the sun goes down in search of owls, deer, snakes and more! Equipment provided. 82506 Sun May 10 2–4 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) Think you have seen all of Hemlock Bluffs? Journey to far corners of the preserve to find nature rarely seen by others! Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions, and bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.)
