Each session is primarily a field excursion with a classroom session relevant to a specific nature topic. Equipment provided. Children are dropped off for these programs. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) • NIGHT ADVENTURES! Explore the preserve as the sun goes down in search of owls, deer, snakes and more! Bring a flashlight! 82505 Sun Apr 12 6:30–8:30 p.m. • STREAM SEARCH We'll search Swift Creek for fish, snakes, frogs, crayfish and more. Equipment provided. 82506 Sun May 10 2–4 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) Think you have seen all of Hemlock Bluffs? Journey to far corners of the preserve to find nature rarely seen by others! Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions, and bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) • FLYING SQUIRREL AND BIRD BOX CHECK Join us for our annual check of wildlife boxes as we focus on owls, flying squirrels and more! 82507 Sun Jan 18 2–4 p.m. • SALAMANDER AND FROG SURVEY Assist staff with off-trail biological surveys for salamanders and frogs.
