These programs journey to far corners of the preserve on a quest to find nature rarely seen. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions. Bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) THINGS THAT SLITHER AND CRAWL Search with us for snakes, lizards, frogs, bugs and more in forests and wetlands. 85580 Sun Jun 21 2-4 p.m. Outdoor Recreation Canoeing for Teens (age 11-18) Learn basic paddling and safety skills for tandem canoeing in a short, introductory course that covers personal preparation, equipment choices, and strokes essential to efficient paddling in a Bond Lake-type environment. Approximately half the time will be spent on the water. Canoe rental is included.
