18 www.townofcary.org Special Interest Poise Girls Entrepreneurs Camp (age 11-14) This minicamp motivates young ladies to design and create their own product brand and line of merchandise. Topics include sales, branding, business, finance, and marketing. Participants will develop their very own business plan, logo, company name, concept, and product line ready for display and to sell at a local shop or boutique. Location: Herbert C. Young Community Center Instructor: Tetnika Williamson Fees: $158(R) $188(N) (5 classes) 86270 Mon-Fri Jul 13-17 1:30-5:30 p.m. Babysitter Certification (age 11-17) Facilitated by a trained American Red Cross and American Safety and Health Institute instructor, this course provides the information needed for successful babysitting. Topics include general baby, toddler, and older child care as well as health and safety skills such as how to manage choking and rescue breathing. After completion of the course, participants will be certified in babysitting. Students receive an SAT Training Manual that provides a specific, step-by-step method for every question. These methods are applied to material from the official SAT study guide. Students also learn the psychology of test-taking, including confidence issues and time management. Location: Herbert C.
