Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 41 Card games keep the mind sharp! Cards Bring a snack and invite a friend to these card games offered at the Cary Senior Center. Fellowship and fun for all who attend! Registration is required. Location: Classroom 303 PINOCHLE AND HEARTS Join friends for pinochle & hearts twice a week! All will enjoy cards and conversation. 84601 Every Monday/Tuesday 9 a.m.-noon OPEN CARDS Join friends to play Cribbage, Euchre and/or other fun card games! Open for all levels of players. 84602 Every Thursday 9-11:30 a.m. ANGELS Bring snacks, a zest for fun and the enjoyment of card play! A variety of games are played, and you are sure to find something you like. Angels is for women only. 84603 Every Wednesday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. FREE! Cary Cafe What's better on a Friday afternoon than visiting with friends and having lunch? Each person should bring a potluck dish. We'll provide the beverages and the paper products. Registration is required and ends a week prior to each event. Join others for the fun and competition. Location: Classroom 303 84604 Every Friday 1- 3:30 p.m. (no meeting 7/3) Mah Jongg This ancient Chinese game is both fun and challenging. If you have your own playing set, you may want to bring it. Limited space; register early! Location: Classroom 303 84605 Every Friday 9-11:30 a.m. (no meeting 7/3) Military Mah Jongg Developed so that Air Force spouses all over the world could play by the same rules as they were transferred to new locations, it varies a little from the traditional game in that it is slower paced and easy-going. Rule books with hands are available at the front desk and do not change yearly. If you have your own playing set, you may want to bring it. NOT a "class" but an opportunity to play and hone your skills. If you already play "traditional" MJ, we can help you learn the differences so you can enjoy this version also.
