You'll continue your lifelong learning through informative and educational nature walks that are focused on seasonal plant and wildlife activity. May involve some slow walking on steps. Location: Stevens Nature Center / Hemlock Bluffs Fees: $6(R) $8(N) (per class) BIRDING BY EAR Improve your birding skills by sight and sound. Join us for an adventure as the sun sets and on into the night! Bring a flashlight. 85322 Sat Jul 11 8-9:30 p.m. FANTASTIC FUNGI AND MORE! Late summer is a fine time to study fungi, ferns and small plants. Fall is on the way! 85323 Sat Aug 8 10-11:30 a.m. Adult Nature Workshops (age 18 & up) Pick up tips, techniques and hands-on experience to prepare you to get started on your backyard projects. Meet your neighbors and make new friends while enjoying these informative workshops. Location: Stevens Nature Center / Hemlock Bluffs Fees: $18(R) $25(N) (1 class) BUILDING A BETTER BACKYARD FOR WILDLIFE Find out how to turn your backyard wildlife friendly! A wildlife nest box will be provided! 85324 Sat Jun 20 10 a.m.-noon HOW TO CO-EXIST WITH WILDLIFE We'll cover ways to make your backyard critter friendly, but safe! Bat box will be provided. 85325 Sat Jul 18 10 a.m.-noon BOTANY BASICS 101 Our annual summer plant ID workshop covers small plants, ferns, shrubs and trees in a variety of habitats. 85326 Sat Aug 22 10 a.m.-noon Nature Programs The programs offered by the Stevens Nature Center are held at the beautiful Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Trained, professional Preserve staff will assist you in expanding your outdoor skills, increasing your natural resource knowledge and enhancing your lifelong learning. Don't Wait Please register early. Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Oftentimes we are able to accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots to the class or adding additional classes. Classes that do not meet their minimum enrollment are generally cancelled. You could make the difference. Nature
