look what's new We are ramping up for a summer full of your favorite activities, classes, camps, festivals and just plain get-outside-and-play kind of fun. Around here summer is filled with every kind of fun for all kinds of interests. If you've never been to the USA Baseball Training Complex there's no better time than now to see the very best in baseball—the NCAA Division II World Series happens right here at the end of May—a weeklong tournament of America's favorite pastime, the perfect kick-off to summer. The dog days of summer march in in June with the annual celebration of man's best friend. Bring Fido and the family out to Dog Days of June at Bond Park. Or cool down on Bond Lake with a pedal boat ride and snow cone. Celebrate the good ol' USA on July 4 with family fun in the morning at Bond Park and the NC Symphony at Koka Booth Amphitheater in the afternoon and evening. Later in July the Chowdown rolls on to Chatham Street—a food truck rally in the heart of Downtown Cary. And don't forget the music–all summer long–at the Starlight and Sertoma Concerts and on the big stage at Koka Booth Amphitheater. We put a cap on summer at the end of August with one of Cary's greatest traditions—Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival. The juried event invites some of the best artisans from all over the country to share their craft. Great food and lively music and entertainment round out the day. Make sure to note that Lazy Daze is moving down Academy to the Town Hall campus as construction work on the other end of Academy commences. Whatever you fancy, remember that Summer Starts Here!
