June Dog Days of June Saturday, June 6 | 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Bond Park, Field #6 A day filled with family fun for you and your dogs. Compete in a disc competition, vaccinate or microchip your pet, and visit with local pet-focused vendors and rescue groups raising money to donate to canine charitable organizations. Don't miss this chance to bring your four- legged friend and meet up with other dog lovers. • Skyhoundz® Local Canine Frisbee Disc Competition: All dogs—regardless of lineage or experience—are invited to participate. Each participant gets a free official disc (while supplies last). Prizes are awarded to the top three competitors. Winners qualify to compete in regional competitions. Spectators—human and canine—are welcome! Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Competitions begin at 10 a.m. • Rabies Vaccines and Microchipping Clinics: Keep your pets safe by getting them vaccinated and microchipped. Cats and dogs are welcome. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. Microchips and rabies vaccines are available on a first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last). Microchip: $10 per pet. Rabies Vaccine: $5 per pet • Cary Teen Council Dog Wash: After competing in the competition or visiting the vendors, let "Fido" cool down with a cool and refreshing bath. Cary Teen Council will wash and dry your dog before you head home. Please, friendly dogs only! Small Dogs (1-10 lbs.): $5 Medium Dogs (11-30 lbs.): $7 Large Dogs (31 lbs. and up): $10 Celebrate National Trails Day Saturday, June 6 | 9:30 a.m. Speight Branch and Macedonia Lake Greenways Grab your walking shoes, family, and friends and take a walk with us on one of the Town of Cary's newest greenways! Members of the Greenway Committee and Cary Teen Council will guide you on this event celebrating National Trails Day! Parking available at: Craft Public House, 1040 Tryon Village Drive, Cary TRAIL WORKDAY AT HEMLOCK BLUFFS NATURE PRESERVE Saturday, June 6 | 9:30 a.m.-noon | 85589 National Trails Day has inspired nearly a million trail enthusiasts to flock to their favorite trails to discover and celebrate trails! Bring work gloves, wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes and help with trail improvements. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch provided for the registered volunteers by the Friends of Hemlock Bluffs at noon.
