Children will learn the basic fundamentals, including catching, throwing, ground balls, hitting off the tee, and game play for fun and fitness! Location: Herbert C. Young Community Center Instructor: Khadija El-McPherson Fees: $33(R) $43(N) (3 classes) 85789 Mon Jul 13-27 4:15-5 p.m. Preschool Summer Fitness & Fun (age 3-5) Introduce your preschooler to a variety of sports, physically active games, and fitness activities to keep them healthy and strong during the summer! Designed to enhance agility, balance, and coordination, classes provide an opportunity for social interaction and encourage active play. Learning these skills builds confidence as little ones begin to participate in organized sports and active play. Location: Herbert C. Young Community Center Instructor: Kidokinetics Fees: $53(R) $68(N) (3 classes) 86279 Wed-Fri July 29-31 9:30-11 a.m. Teen Ultimate Frisbee (age 11-14) Participants learn the basic rules and strategies of Ultimate Frisbee, including proper throwing and cutting techniques and offensive and defensive strategies. There will be an opportunity to scrimmage every day and a mini tournament will be held on the last day of class. No previous experience needed. Class will help develop hand/eye coordination, listening skills, good sportsmanship, and teamwork!
