Improved Service Coordination
During Inclement Weather
In February, C-Tran and other Triangle transit
systems, developed an improved
communications system for information sharing
during inclement weather. As a result, all Triangle
Transit systems and the regional call center are
now on a shared email listing and have regular
conference calls to discuss service impacts due
to changing weather conditions.
Wake Transit Plan Refresh
Town staff attended meetings to develop
transit scenarios for Wake Transit Plan
Advisory Committee to consider for further
refinement. The scope of work for the long-
range transit plan for the County has been
revised to allow more time for parties to work
on the plan. The final recommendation should
be complete by early fall 2015. Council
members Lori Bush and Don Frantz serve on
the Advisory Committee, along with four Cary
citizens.
