DAN RATHER Special Interest Babysitting Safely (age 11–14) Babysitting is serious business and a big responsibility. Be prepared and knowledgeable to care for someone else's child. Skills include first aid and safety, CPR overview, Epi-pen use, and understanding developmental stages. Following a written and skills test, participants will receive a completion certificate. Instructor is a registered Pediatric nurse. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Maria Mekeel Fees: $61(R) $80(N) (2 classes) 87236 Thu, Fri Oct 22–23 4:30–7:30 p.m. Babysitter Certification (age 11–17) This course provides the information needed for effective babysitting. Topics covered include general care of baby, toddler and older children, as well as health and safety skills like managing choking and providing rescue breathing. After completion of the course, participants will be certified in babysitting. Location: Herbert C. Young Community Center Instructor: Tetnika Williamson Fees: $60(R) $78(N) (1 class) 88574 Sat Nov 21 9 a.m.–1 p.m. SAT Math Prep Course (age 13–17) This class will focus on direct instruction of SAT math concepts, practice with SAT problem solving and practice, and review of test taking strategies, and confidence building.
