Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 13 Arts & Crafts Pen, Ink and Watercolor Painting Learn to draw with pen and ink and use watercolors to bring your art to life. You will learn how to paint scenic views of landscapes, sea and mountains as well as still lifes. All skill levels from beginner to experienced are welcome to join in the fun of learning new techniques and creating beautiful artwork! You will learn the techniques to paint many types of landscapes and still lifes. We will explore getting the right colors and shapes with a variety of brush strokes to make dramatic skies, beautiful trees, shrubs, foliage, grasses and the basics of painting rocks and mountains. Refreshments will be sold by the Cary Teen Council. Make a morning of relaxing shopping and sipping hot coffee all while finding great gifts or decorations that are made with love and care! Saturday November 21 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Continuing Watercolor Learn more about watercolor painting, from still life components to holiday card preparation. Fall is the time for color, so we will focus on color mixing and compositions. Fees: $50(R) $65(N) (5 classes) 86754 Fri Oct 9-Nov 6 9:30 a.m.-noon Watercolors the Next Step Learn how to make your artwork shine at a show! We will explore ideas on how to prepare for a solo or multi artist show and install it. Bring a photo as inspiration for your painting as we discuss the steps of preparing it, including matting, framing, hanging and more!
