Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 41 Fitness & Wellness Canoeing Learn basic paddling and safety skills for tandem (2 person) canoeing in a short, introductory course. Covers personal preparation, equipment choices, and strokes essential to efficient paddling in a Bond Lake type environment. Approximately 1/2 the time will be spent on the water. You will learn how to rig the boat, launch and land, sail at all points to the wind and right the boat after capsize-- everything you need to know to competently sail a Sunfish sailboat. Sailboat rental is included. Location: Fred G. You will learn how to set up a fishing pole, how to bait a hook using live bait, cast a rod and reel, how to better identify fish, and a little about safety and conservation. Get a look at some really nice fish borrowed from Bond Lake and have a whale of a good time. Bait and cane poles provided (while supplies last). Limited space is available. Social Badminton Open Gym Improve mobility, stamina, concentration and strength while playing Badminton. Badminton is an adaptive game that can be accommodating for players if all skills and age levels. Please bring your own equipment. Open gym pass is required.
