Starlight Concert Series The Starlight Concert Series is a lively collection of free concerts that takes place in the beautiful gardens of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center on the fourth Friday of the month, May-September. Bring your friends and a picnic and enjoy music by starlight. All concerts are free. Craicdown Friday, September 25 | 7 p.m. Enjoy Craicdown's unique "World Acousticana" style— acoustic roots music with a high-energy, rock-inspired flair. Their repertoire includes pieces ranging in style from Americana to reggae-sounding vocals, from Celtic influenced jigs and reels to the music of Brazil and Argentina. With a distinctive and unique sound, this trio brings to the stage musical inspiration, a fire in their fingers, and a true love for their art. www.craicdown.com. Fall Sertoma Series Sertoma Amphitheatre is one of Cary's best kept secrets, nestled way inside Fred G. Metro Bond Park. This intimate venue is a perfect setting for Fall concerts. Come early for a seat, or pack your own portable chair. Please note: food and leashed pets are permitted, but please leave alcoholic beverages at home. Concerts may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. All concerts are free. Cary Town Band Concert: Gems from Drawer 1 Friday September 11 | 7:30 p.m. The band stores its music sequentially in about 16 filing cabinet drawers. Most recent concerts have featured music from the later drawers to be filled. But it's time to go back, find the real musical gems from the band's early years. There are Sousa marches, wedding dances, Schubert ballet music, von Suppé Overtures, circus music from King and others, polkas, and much more. You'll be surprised and entertained hearing what the band played 27 years ago.
