Boating Boating Skills & Seamanship (age 14 & up) Presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, this course applies to new boat owners and experienced boaters wanting to expand their knowledge. Topics include nautical language, types of boats, powerboat handling, safety and legal requirements, navigation rules, inland boating, and more. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Ronald Sanders, Member of the Cary Flotilla of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Fees: $55, due at first class to instructor 87988 Mon Sep 21–Nov 23 7–9:30 p.m. Fishing Fishing opportunities are available year-round at Bond Lake. There is no charge to fish from shore. All NC fishing regulations apply. North Carolina requires anyone 16 or older to have a fishing license. For additional information concerning size and creel limits or to purchase a license, visit the NC Wildlife Resources Commission website at www.ncwildlife.org. Fishing Clinic (age 6 & up) Bring your rod and come learn the basics of fishing! Learn how to set up a fishing pole, bait a hook using live bait, cast a rod and reel, identify fish, plus learn a little about safety and conservation.
