This one-hour session will give parents and students understanding of the planning process, provide practical solutions about creating a timeline, and will discuss which pitfalls to avoid. The goal is to prepare students to read, write, and speak Telugu Language. Build upon basic ESL classes to widen your vocabulary, learn expressions, fine- tune your speech patterns, and sound more 'American.' This course is for people who already have a basic understanding of written and spoken English. Instructor: Mary Leong Location: Page-Walker Arts & History Center Fees: $160 (R) $190 (N) (8 classes) 88783 Mon Sep 21–Nov 9 6:30–8:30 p.m. Pet Ed Dog Obedience 101 (age 16 & up) Learn the importance of your role as leader and teach your dog self-control. Teach your dog basic commands such as sit, down, come, and stay. Your dog will also learn to walk on a loose leash without pulling, resulting in improved behavior. For dogs age 4 months and older. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Robina Thornton Fees: $125(R) $155(N) (6 classes) 87129 Wed Sep 16–Oct 21 7–8 p.m. 87130 Wed Oct 28–Dec 16 7–8 p.m. (no class Nov 11, 25) Advanced Dog Obedience (age 16 & up) Improve your dog's self-control while confirming your leadership. This class is for dogs of any age that know the basic commands but need these skills strengthened. If time allows, w e will play fun games and Rally obedience. The final night includes the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification test.
