It is a drilled base with four contrasting hardwood feet. The result is a striking piece you'll be proud to have in your home or give as a gift. Supplies included. Students will learn the tools, techniques and processes of turning wood on a lathe. A good refresher course, too! A limited amount of turning stock is available for purchase from the Cary Arts Center. Supplies are not included. It is also within reach of the beginner! It combines power tool and hand tool techniques. Advanced skills that will be practiced include dovetailing, mortise and tenon joinery and panel glue-ups.
