Rackets required (or available to purchase at the first class). Location: Bond Park Community Center Fees: $98 (R) $128(N) (9 classes) 89071 Sat Sep 12–Nov 21 5–6 p.m. (no class Oct 10, 31) Serve N Play Youth Badminton Training— Intermediate/Advanced (age 7–15) For players who have previously attended a Serve N Play training program. Students must be able to serve and rally with consistency. The class is a continuation of the introductory badminton program and will focus on more advanced skill sets and game tactics. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (1 class) 89020 Sun Sep 20 1–2:30 p.m. NEW! Knowledge of the Game (age 5–9) Participants learn the game of baseball and the different terminology used throughout the sport. This clinic is targeted for players who are just learning how to play the game and want to develop their understanding. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $18(R) $23(N) (1 class) 88992 Mon Sep 14 6–7:30 p.m. Basics of Throwing (age 7–10) One of the most important aspects of baseball is being able to throw properly. Proper throwing mechanics also reduce the chance of injury to the throwing arm. Learn how to properly throw the baseball with greater accuracy and strength. This program is great for new ballplayers as well as those who would like to continue to improve. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $10(R) $13(N) (1 class) 88993 Sun Sep 13 1–2 p.m. 88994 Sun Sep 13 2:30–3:30 p.m. Keys to Hitting and Fielding (age 7–12) In this two-day, three-hour clinic, participants focus on the keys to hitting and fielding. Players learn about batting stance, hand positioning, and transition through the swing, as well as proper positioning for fielding ground balls and proper arm angles when throwing. The keys learned at the clinic will be able to applied directly to the field. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex, Field 4 Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $45(R) $59(N) (2 classes) AGE 7–9 88995 Tue, Wed Oct 6–7 6:30–8 p.m. AGE 10–12 88996 Tue, Wed Oct 13–14 6:30–8 p.m. Fall Baseball Clinic (age 7–14) Learn the game of baseball and participate in a variety of drills and games to develop the skills needed to become better players. No experience necessary as this clinic will be geared towards having fun and developing skills. Entire youth teams are encouraged to come together!
