There will be shooting contests and team play with prizes awarded. Participants should bring a snack, drinks, and bag lunch. Location: Herbert C. Pre and post assessments will be given with recommendations for future growth and development. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (1 class) 89010 Mon Nov 9 6–7:30 p.m. Advanced Outfielders Clinic (age 13–16) Participants learn proper outfield techniques and have the opportunity to work on drills to become better outfielders. The focus is on the positions of left field, center field, and right field and is for participants interested in becoming elite players on the competitive level. Protective equipment is encouraged. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (1 class) 89009 Mon Nov 9 6–7:30 p.m. Advanced Hitting Skills and Techniques (age 14–18) The session focuses on the fundamentals of hitting, including stance, hitting position, balance, bat path, bat speed, and follow through for experienced players. Topics also included are opposite field hitting and hitting for power. The clinic will involve many instructional drills and batting cage practice. This course is for both the baseball and softball player. Town of Cary instructors, college coaches, and high school coaches discuss what parents can do to help their child. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: Free (1 class) 88990 Mon Oct 26 6:30–8:30 p.m. BASEBALL 1-ON-1 LESSONS Town of Cary 1-on-1 baseball lessons are offered year round and develop, enhance, and build upon your player's skill level. Due to overwhelming popularity of lessons, available dates are released on the 25th of every month for lessons being held the following month. They will be posted online and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please follow the prompts to indicate the type of lesson you would like. Lessons can be 30 minutes ($25) or one hour long ($40). Anyone can sign up for a 30-minute lesson; hour-long lessons are available for players age 10–17.
