Annual Water Quality Report The report covers all drinking water quality testing performed during 2014. The Town is committed to providing drinking water that meets all state and federal regulatory standards. This is the third consecutive year that the Annual Water Quality Report has been distributed electronically. Distribution of the report is required by law and doing so electronically allows the Town to communicate important information about our drinking water to our customers in a more efficient and less costly manner. Utilities staff estimates an annual savings of approximately $20,000 by transitioning to an electronic distribution format. We are proud to report that your water remains safe and of high quality. Operation "Hello Neighbor" Criminals most often choose their victims based on "opportunity." An open garage door creates a very inviting circumstance for burglars. Patrol officers are mailing reminder letters to citizens whose garage doors are observed open during overnight hours. During the second quarter of 2015, a total of 137 letters were mailed to households in District 2 (generally comprised of western Cary) reminding residents to "secure the door." In addition, District staff also sent emails to property managers and HOA contacts reminding them to close garage doors and remove valuables from vehicles. District 2 Crime Prevention Initiative K-9 Update During the second quarter of 2015, the K9 teams seized more than 121.5 grams of marijuana, 101.5 grams of cocaine, 8.6 grams of heroin and 29 pieces of drug paraphernelia.
