Specialized Recreation The Town continue to increase offerings for persons with disabilities. Programs in art, performing arts, culinary, fitness, sports, as well as social gatherings and special events are available. New programs include: Cardio kickboxing (all levels) Hip Hop workshops Softball skills Zip Line Adventures Teambuilding Fun at the Ropes Course Pamper Party with Friends BINGO Game Night Inclusion Services The Town is committed to an inclusive approach to recreation and encourages individuals with and without disabilities to participate together. Over 15 inclusion support requests were provided for persons with disabilities. Resources such as supportive/adaptive materials, program/site specific training and additional staff support (inclusion counselors) were shared to ensure that individuals with disabilities could participate in all programs. Cary Arts Center The Arts Center gallery featured two shows: Selections from the SAS Collection featuring works by Holly Brewster Jones and Juliana Novozhilova and a mixed media installation by Cayce Lee entitled "Gratitude for our Resonance" which incorporated materials such as metal, plastics and glass worked in a manner of knitting, crocheting and stitching to convey ideas of memory and emotion. The Marvelous Music Series began another season with a performance by The Railsplitters, a group expanding the horizons of traditional bluegrass music. Enrollment at the 2015 Summer Camps grew nearly 14 percent compared to 2014 and produced revenues of $181,901. NC Symphony's July 4th Concert National Touring Concerts Dragon Boat Festival The July 4th concert provided a celebratory atmosphere despite the intermittent showers that persisted through the evening, which caused a lower than normal attendance. The Amphitheatre welcomed national performers such as Colbie Caillat & Christina Perry, Garrison Keillor, Culture Club, Peter Frampton & Cheap Trick and comedian Jim Gaffigan. Jim Gaffigan was the first comedy concert at the Amphitheatre and was also the highest attended event of the season with over 6,500 attendees. The second annual festival brought more than 7,500 spectators (more than triple the attendance from 2014!) Additional cultural performances on stage and additional boat races helped to increase participation. Koka Booth Amphitheatre
