24 January–May 2016 Cary Senior Center Computer Learning Digital Photography 1 This series of three courses is designed for beginning or intermediate users of digital photography. NOTE: The Digital Photography courses must be taken in sequence unless waived by the instructor. Bring your camera, and learn how to use the controls and understand the terminology. Learn techniques for taking better pictures, and then upload and view them on your computer. Location: Classroom 302 Fees: $15(R) $20(N) (3 classes) 89965 Mon/Tue/Thu Jan 25–28 2–4:30 p.m. Digital Photography 2 This series of three courses is designed for beginning or intermediate users of digital photography. NOTE: The Digital Photography courses must be taken in sequence unless waived by the instructor after discussion with the prospective student. Photo Enhancement and Printing: Make the best of the pictures you have taken; learn how to enhance your photos using free software (Picasa 3), and then print them. Understand some of the online photo services and how to use them. Digital photography 1 is a prerequisite for this class. Fees: $15(R) $20(N) (3 classes) 89949 Mon/Tue/Thu Feb 15–18 1:30–4 p.m. Your Best Shot Calling all amateur and professional senior photographers! Have your picture be the next cover of the Cary Senior Center Brochure! If your photo is chosen as the cover you will be a featured spotlight on the back of the brochure. To be eligible to win, your photo must meet the following requirements: Photo must show active aging through an activity provided by the Town of Cary, brief description of the activity that is being captured in the photo, people in the photo must be 55 and older, and we need contact information and photo needs to be 300 dpi and in either jpg or tif format. All photos and information will need to be submitted digitally to Stefanie Nichols, through either email stefanie. nichols@townofcary.org or CD. Digital Photography for all levels New to Cary?
