During this time you will learn what volunteer opportunities take place here and how the call list works. Location: Conference Room 89251 Fri Jan 8 11 a.m.–noon Winter/Spring Season Volunteer List If you are interested in donating some of your time to help the Cary Senior Center then register for this program! By registering for this program you will be added to a volunteer call list for the 2016 Winter/Spring Season. When different volunteer opportunities arise we then contact those on the list for help. Remember this list only lasts for one season so make sure you register each brochure if you want to remain on the call list. 89252 January–May 2016 Call List Warm Up America Grab your knitting needles, scrap yarn and warm heart! Help knit and crochet warm blankets that will be donated to a variety of charities in the area. Your self-expression provides warmth and hope for so many. Some yarn will be provided; donations accepted. 89253 3rd Thursday Monthly 1–4 p.m. (no January Meeting) Cherished Memories Join us for a free and artistic volunteer activity. We will be painting memory boxes for children who are coping with the stress of extended hospital stays and for families to preserve the memory of a lost child. All boxes will be donated to the UNC-CH Children's Hospital. All supplies will be provided. Leader: Carmen Prestemon 92060 3rd Saturday Monthly 9:30–11:30 a.m. Volunteer Sewing Group Volunteers sew, knit and crochet a variety of dolls, quilts, and other goodies to be donated to local hospitals and care centers! More volunteers are always welcome, please join us in giving. Donations of clean acrylic yarns, cotton cloth and other items are needed.
