Anatoly Larkin Saturday, January 23 | 3 p.m. Take a ride on a musical discovery with pianist Anatoly Larkin and learn how to use your artistic skills to create a new piece of music. Dr. Larkin will show you music's "exciting gems" and will engage young audience members to assist in improvising a new work that will premiere during this performance. Larkin's recent and upcoming projects include a presentation of piano works by Russian composers in their early 30s, chamber performances with cellist Jonathan Kramer and clarinetist Fred Jacobowitz, and collaborations with composers John Starosta and Craig Bove. During the show, Billy, Matthew, and Ryan McGuigan will pull request cards—completed by you prior to the show—out of a hat and chat with the audience members about the reasons for their requests.
