Bond Metro Park Community Center This event features teams of able-bodied kids who are learning to roll with it as they compete in a wheelchair basketball tournament. The tournament encourages able- bodied kids to become aware of the obstacles faced by athletes with physical challenges every time they take the court. Wheelchair basketball is one of the few Paralympic sports where both able-bodied athletes and athletes with disabilities can compete together. NEW! FREE! Adaptive Sports The Town of Cary is partnering with Bridge II Sports to facilitate adaptive sports programs. Bridge II Sports, a nonprofit, creates opportunities for children and adults who are physically challenged to play sports individually or on a team, helping them discover tenacity, confidence, self-esteem and the joy of finding the player within.
