February Cary Players: Crossing Delancey by Susan Sandler The Cary Theater Friday & Saturday, February 12 & 13, 19 & 20 | 7:30 p.m. Sunday, February 14 & 21 | 3 p.m. $20 Adults; $18 Seniors & Students This romantic comedy invites us into the lives of Isabel (Izzy), a young, single woman who works in a lower east side Manhattan bookstore, and her sharp-witted Yiddish grandmother, "Bubbie." Generational and cultural classes erupt when Bubbie hires a matchmaker and pressures Izzy to meet Sam the Pickle Man. The New York Times called Crossing Delancey "an amusing romance that tells its unpretentious story believably, rarely trying to make its gag lines, of which there are many, upstage its narration or outshine its heart." For more information, visit www. caryplayers.org. Cary Town Band: For All the Seasons Cary Arts Center Friday, February 19 | 7:30 p.m. | Free Outside it's still winter. Inside the theater, it's any season you want it to be, with music to go along with it. There's Strauss' "Voices of Spring," Gershwin's "Summertime," King's "Autumn Flowers," and Bernard's "Winter Wonderland." Whatever your favorite time of year, come join with the band as we ignore the cold outside and celebrate with music "For All the Seasons." For more information, visit www.carytownband.org.
