Preschool Nature Nature Nymphs (age 4-5) Nurture your child's curiosity about nature and they will develop an appreciation for the environment that lasts a lifetime! Your preschooler will develop new skills through hikes in the woods, crafts, and indoor activities. Each program session in this series (listed by topic) meets for one week, Monday-Thursday. Fees: $68(R) $88(N) (4 classes) HEMLOCK HIDEAWAYS From creeks to trees and flowers, animal homes are everywhere! We'll investigate animal hideaways throughout the preserve. 93734 Mon-Thu Jun 13-16 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. T1 DISGUISES AND SURPRISES Nature is full of surprises and mysteries! Discover the secretive world that is hidden in plain sight at Hemlock Bluffs. 93735 Mon-Thu Jul 11-14 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. T4 NUTTY ABOUT NATURE Delight in the excitement of nature and build awareness about the natural world all around. 93736 Mon-Thu Aug 22-25 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. T2 Youth Nature Discovery Days Mini Camps (age 5-12) Sometimes we just want to hike farther, delve deeper, or create a bigger, better project. These camps give children the chance to get to know each other, their instructor, and Nature Preserve plants and animals a little better. Fees: $54(R) $68(N) (3 classes) THE SECRET FOREST (age 5-7) Discover the hidden places where animals like to hide in the forest. We will search high and low in these secret places! 93411 Wed-Fri Jun 15-17 1:30- 4:30 p.m. T1 DIG INTO FOSSILS! (age 5-7) Calling all junior paleontologists! Join us as we search for and learn about fossils. 93408 Wed-Fri Jul 6-8 10 a.m.-1 p.m. TO LORAX ADVENTURE AT MILLS PARK ELEMENTARY (age 5-7) Join us for a Lorax-inspired nature adventure at Mills Park Elementary! We will explore nature through games, crafts, and other activities. 93410 Tue-Thu Aug 2-4 9 a.m.-noon T3 A PEEK INTO THE CREEK (age 5-7) We will explore Swift Creek and the other wet areas to search for fish, frogs, turtles, and more.
