Players should have played at least 3 seasons of softball and have confidence with ball handling and in the batter's box. The focus is on advanced hitting skills, game strategy, and smart defensive play. Players should have no fear of a hard thrown ball or a fast pitched ball. Instructor: Town of Cary Softball Instructors Fees: $98(R) $127(N) (5 classes) Location: Thomas Brooks Park, Field 6 93478 Mon-Fri Jul 18-22 8:30 a.m.-noon T4 93479 Mon-Fri Aug 8-12 8:30 a.m.-noon T3 Softball Position Play Camp (age 12-17) For advanced players who want to focus on defensive position play and game strategy, this camp focuses on footwork for covering all positions in various game situations, quick ball transfer, and proper throws based on runner advancement. Hitting and pitching will not be covered at this clinic. Pitcher's defense will be covered. Instructor: Town of Cary Softball Instructors Fees: $80(R) $104(N) (4 classes) Location: Thomas Brooks Park, Field 5 93481 Mon-Thu Aug 1-4 5:30-8:30 p.m. T3 Softball Instruction (age 7-18) Town of Cary 1-on-1 lessons are offered year round and are intended to develop, enhance, and build upon your player's skill level. Due to overwhelming popularity of lessons; available dates are released on the 25th of every month for lessons being held the following month. They will be posted on EZ-REG web and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lessons can be 30 minutes ($25) or an hour long ($40).
