A tower defense game is one in which the programmer creates towers to defend a base which fires at passing enemies. At the end of the class, campers take home a copy of the game they create. Campers tackle a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all–their mind. With a little bit of ingenuity campers will create aircrafts, construct working light sticks and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.
