Tennis Park 151 Fall USTA League tennis teams registered to play in 2015, an increase of 21 teams from the previous fall season. The Cary Winter Championship, held December 4-6, had 219 players ages 8-18 participate in the event. 185 adults participated in the Western Wake Tennis Association Harvest Adult Tournament, held October 30-November 1. Cary SK8 Cary The Sk8 Park experience low numbers during this quarter, mostly attributed to the wet weather during this three month period. SK8-Cary experienced 127 sessions closed in 2015 compared to 90 closed sessions in 2014. Unfortunately, most of the rain fell during the holidays. Community Center Attendance 36,086 12,218 15,859 Bond Park Herb Young Middle Creek The Town hosted 14 Track-Out weeks and 7 School's Out (one- day) camps. Revenue and participation increased 21 percent from FY2015. New field trips included the Cary Police Department, Cary Fire Stations, NC Legislative Building and the NC Capitol tours during "When I Grow Up" week. Environmental Programs Staff coordinated 15 volunteer workdays, utilizing 378 volunteers, accumulating 806 volunteer hours at a cost savings to the Town of over $18,586. Did you know? Environmental program participation for October- December increased 30 percent over 2014 and revenue increased by 7 percent. In addition, new programming expanded to western Cary.
