Jordan Lake Levels
After a relatively dry period during July, August and September,
Jordan Lake reached a low level of 212.5 ft. above sea level (216 ft.
is the normal level) on September 24th. After the recent rainfall,
Jordan Lake reached a high of 221.4 ft. on October 6th. The Corps of
Engineers is slowly returning the lake to its normal level.
We had submitted a final application for
an increase in our Jordan Lake water
supply storage allocation in November
2014. Our application provided
information to support the applications for
the Towns of Cary, Apex and Morrisville,
and Wake County for RTP South. The NC
Division of Water Resources is scheduled
to provide its Jordan Lake allocation
recommendations to the Water Allocation
Committee of the NC Environmental
Management Commission on November
4, 2015.
