CONCERTS 10 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org PART ONE Summer Sertoma Series Sertoma Amphitheatre is nestled away inside Fred G. Bond Metro Park—a perfect setting for summer concerts. Come early for a seat or pack your own chair. Please note: food and leashed pets are permitted, but please leave alcoholic beverages at home. Concerts may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. The Honey Dewdrops Sponsored in part by Pine Cone Saturday, June 11 | 6 p.m. | Free Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish share more than most couples. As the Honey Dewdrops, they share stages, one mic, and a hunger to pay attention to what endures. With tight harmonies and a musical ensemble that includes clawhammer banjo, mandolin, and guitars, the effect is to leave listeners with only what matters: the heart of the song and clarity over ornamentation. Triangle Brass Band Friday, June 17 | 7 p.m. | Free If you have not experienced us, come try us out! Join the Triangle Brass Band for "Picture This!" The area's premier adult British‑style brass band will perform a program of music from the movies. You are guaranteed to hear something you love! The Harris Brothers Sponsored in part by PineCone Saturday, July 9 | 6 p.m. | Free The Harris Brothers, a real brother duo, started playing string instruments and singing as children. Born and raised in Western North Carolina, the Harris Brothers' intuitive nature of their interaction can only be achieved via their relationship. Reggie sings and plays guitar, banjo, and a kick‑drum suitcase for percussion; Ryan sings and plays the bass. A typical live show effortlessly shifts from original tunes to their own arrangements of songs. Charm City Junction Sponsored in part by PineCone Saturday, August 13 | 6 p.m. | Free From dance‑inducing old‑time rhythms and foot stomping Irish melodies, to hard‑driving Bluegrass, Charm City Junction creates a fresh soundscape that keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. The band is comprised of four talented and promising acoustic musicians: Patrick McAvinue on fiddle, Brad Kolodner on clawhammer banjo, Sean McComiskey on button accordion, and Alex Lacquement on upright bass. Celebration of Bluegrass Friday, June 24 | 6 p.m. | Free The Piedmont Council of Traditional Music (PineCone) partners with the Page‑Walker to present an evening of traditional bluegrass music. Arrive at 6 p.m. to hear the students of our Bluegrass Camp show off their skills. Stay to hear Ash Breeze Band perform bluegrass, folk, roots, and gospel tunes. From Fayetteville, Ash Breeze Band is an up and coming young group, chosen as a Showcase Band at the 2015 International Bluegrass Music Association festival. Lounge Doctors Friday, July 8 | 7 p.m. | Free A mash‑up of rock and blues, the acoustic guitar and rock piano duo of Michael Pelz‑Sherman and Hal Goodtree plays an eclectic assortment from Etta James to Stereophonics. A single song might include Led Zeppelin and George Gershwin or Lee Morgan and the Beatles. As first‑time Starlight Performers, the Lounge Doctors will bring their own brand of musical goodness to the Page‑ Walker. Jamrock Friday, July 29 | 7 p.m. | Free Starlight Concert favorite Jamrock returns to fill the air with their authentic reggae rhythms. Rock out with "Yard Style" reggae, including Lovers Rock, Oldies, Dancehall, and Roots music. Celebrate the band's Jamaican influence and origins at the final Starlight Concert of the season.
