Cary Town Band Concert: Sister Cities in Concert Thursday, August 25 | 8 p.m. | Free Cary Arts Center For this unique occasion, Cary's Sister City—Markham, Ontario, Canada—is sending its very own town band, The Markham Concert Band, to Cary! The band will join with The Cary Town Band to offer a special joint concert celebrating the end of summer, Lazy Daze, and the unique relationship we have with our Sister City. Join us as we celebrate together! 40th Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival Saturday, August 27 | 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday, August 28 | 12:30–5 p.m. Town Hall Campus The Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary by expanding the one-day festival to two days! The festival will remain on Cary's Town Hall Campus this year as the Academy Street improvement project continues. The festival is a signature event for the Town of Cary, annually welcoming more than 50,000 people into the historic downtown to experience an amazing array of exceptional arts and crafts. Lazy Daze is a big-time festival that maintains its small-town roots. It's a fun day for the entire family – arts and crafts, food, Kid's World and five stages of entertainment all day. Join us for two days and celebrate 40 years of Lazy Daze! LAZY DAZE Herbert C. Young Community Center Celebrates 25 Years Saturday, August 27-Friday, September 2 Join us at Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival to kick off a week-long celebration in honor of 25 years of the Herbert C. Young Community Center. Located in the heart of Downtown Cary, the facility has served the town and citizens as a center of activity for a quarter century and each day this week will feature something fun to celebrate.
