The 310-acre landscape is filled with towering pines, picnic shelters, athletic fields, fitness and hiking trails, a playground, 300-seat amphitheatre, Bond Park Community Center, the Cary Senior Center, and the serene Bond Lake. The Boathouse serves as a central point for boat rentals—kayaks, pedal boats and sail boats. Challenge Course activities provide great team-building opportunities. The park hosts the Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival as well as several runs each year. Features: Bond Lake, Bond Park Boathouse, Challenge Course, Sertoma Amphitheatre, Kiwanis Picnic Shelter, Lazy Daze Playground, Buehler Picnic Shelter, athletic fields, spillway, 4.2 miles of trails, Compost Education Center, Screened Porch. Green Hope Elementary Park 2750 Louis Stevens Drive, 27519 Green Hope Elementary Park is conveniently located just across from Cary Tennis Park, and features athletic fields, volleyball courts, picnic areas and playgrounds making it a great destination for families in West Cary. There are many paved paths for the active walker, runner, or biker. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 3 soccer fields, 1 basketball slab (lighted), 4 sand volleyball courts (lighted), multi-age playgrounds, picnic shelter, picnic tables, restrooms, and paved paths. c Parks & Greenways With more than 30 parks and 70 miles of greenway, get outside and enjoy the green life! 1. Annie L. Jones Park 1414 Tarbert Drive, 27511 With tennis courts, ball fields, a playground, and picnic amenities, Annie L. Jones Park is a popular park that features the trailhead for the Annie Jones Greenway—a great place for walking, biking, jogging, or strolling. The west branch runs from McCloud Court through Annie Jones Park and across Tarbert Drive ending at the east branch a few hundred feet from SW Cary Parkway. Hours: Sunrise to sunset; in lighted areas where visitors are participating in an approved activity, hours are extended until 30 minutes after the completion of the activity or 10 p.m. Features: 6 lighted tennis courts, a lighted baseball/softball field, 2 basketball slabs, a playground, picnic tables, restrooms, and offers trailhead parking for the Annie Jones Greenway. 2. Davis Drive Park 1610 Davis Drive, 27523 Davis Drive Park features playgrounds, a picnic area, soccer fields and a popular basketball court perfect for active youth, walkers and runners, and people in search of a great picnic spot in West Cary. With trailhead parking the park provides access to White Oak Creek Greenway. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 4 soccer fields, 1 basketball slab, playgrounds, picnic shelter, picnic tables, restroom, 0.5 mile paved loop trail, adjacent to Davis Drive multi-use trail, trailhead parking for White Oak Creek Greenway (access to trail across Davis Drive). 3. Dorothy Park 720 Griffis Street, 27511 Dorothy Park is an open space park—perfect for playing catch with Fido, throwing a Frisbee, and taking in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors.
