Park visitors may stroll down the brick promenade, walk the scenic paved trails, overlook wetlands on boardwalks, play on the playground or have a picnic in the open lawn. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Brick pedestrian promenade with integrated public art, open space lawn (1.4 acres), picnic shelter & picnic tables, playground, paved loop trail (1 mile = 2.5 loops), natural mulch trail, boardwalks, restroom facility, and parking. 24. White Oak Park 1216 Jenks Carpenter Road, 27519 This park features Cary's outdoor pickleball courts, where everyone is welcome and encouraged to play! Don't play pickleball? Shoot hoops, have a picnic, or run free in the open play field. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 1 basketball slab, 3 pickleball courts, 1 open play field, playground picnic shelter, picnic tables, and restrooms 25. New Hope Trailhead Park 2575 New Hope Church Road, 27519 Situated in northwestern Cary and adjacent to the American Tobacco Trail (ATT), the 12-acre site is the only trailhead along the ATT that was built and is maintained by the Town. It serves as an important parking facility for Cary residents and users of the ATT, and it is also one of the few locations in Wake and Chatham counties along the 22- mile ATT that offers drinking water and restroom facilities. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 100-space parking lot, parking for horse trailers, picnic shelters, restrooms, public art, and open space lawn. 18. Rose Street Park 110 Rose Street, 27511 A quaint, neighborhood park, Rose Street Park holds the distinction of Cary's smallest park. This little treasure is a great spot for a toddler play date or a pick-up basketball game. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 1 Basketball Slab, Playground with swings, and Picnic Tables 19. Sears Farm Park 5077 Sears Farm Road, 27519 Sears Farm Park is wonderful place to enjoy all seasons with a shaded lawn area and playground, paved trails, unique landscaped areas, and a giant sculpture that little ones can climb on and move. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Play lawns, playground, picnic shelter, basketball slab, kinetic sculpture and restroom. 20. Thomas Brooks Park 9008 Green Level Church Road, 27519 Thomas Brooks Park spans 224 beautiful acres in West Cary. You can enjoy a pick-up game of basketball, softball and baseball fields, soccer fields, walking trails, a playground and picnic shelters. Thomas Brooks Park is also home to the USA Baseball National Training Complex. Hours: Sunrise to sunset; in lighted areas where visitors are participating in an approved extended use activity, hours are extended until 30 minutes after the completion of the activity. Features: Athletic Complex with 4 Lighted Baseball/Softball Fields with Restrooms, 2 Batting Cages and Hitting Area, 2 Outdoor Basketball Courts (lighted), 2 Soccer Fields, Soccer Picnic Shelter with Restrooms, Playground, Picnic Shelter, 0.50 mile walking track around Athletic Complex. 21. Urban Park 414 E. Chatham Street, 27511 Tucked into a small wooded area, Urban Park is the perfect spot to burn a little energy on 2 play structures, a sandbox and 4 swings atop a rubber play surface. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 1 Basketball Slab, Playground, Picnic Tables 22. Veterans Freedom Park 1513 North Harrison Avenue, 27513 The Veterans Freedom Park features a memorial court of service flags and benches leading up to a stunning 90-foot white granite spire. The five seals from each branch of the military circle the base of the spire, creating an intimate and inviting space for reflection. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Freedom Tower with seating, seals from each branch of the military, memorial service flags court, and an open space. SEARS FARM PARK
