The practice integrates nine different movement forms to create a high-energy, expressive and nonimpact fitness experience that will quiet the mind, strengthen your body, and enliven your spirit. This is a safe, body-centered workout that is adaptable for all fitness levels. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, developing a strong core or center, while improving coordination and balance. All exercises done on a mat. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, or use one of ours. We welcome and accommodate persons with various ability levels from multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, obesity, chronic fatigue, persons in wheelchairs, or folks with walkers. Your workout will incorporate breathing and relaxation techniques in addition to some stretching. This program will allow you to have fun, energize your mood, relieve stress and give you an overall sense of well-being. The session will offer flexibility exercises, chair yoga, and some strength training exercises. Let us help you find an activity that you can enjoy, and create an exercise routine that works for you. Includes adaptable chair exercises for all abilities. All programs take place in the Exercise Room unless stated otherwise.
