You'll have an opportunity to ask questions about common plants and animals during indoor presentations or leisurely nature walks. Location: Stevens Nature Center / Hemlock Bluffs Fees: $5(R) $7(N) (per class) BIRDING BASICS Enjoy the summer birds as we search for them by sight and sound. Binoculars can be provided. 94096 Tue Jun 7 10-11:30 a.m. SUMMER FUN AT WHITE OAK CREEK GREENWAY This leisurely stroll will focus on singing birds and summer plants. Binoculars can be provided. Class meets in parking lot at corner of Green Level West Rd and Green Level Church Rd. 94097 Thu Jul 7 10-11:30 a.m. MEDICINAL AND EDIBLE PLANTS 101 Discover the uses of plants for both people and wildlife. Past and present uses will be covered. 94098 Fri Aug 5 10-11:30 a.m. FABULOUS FUNGI AND MORE! Late summer offers good chances to search for mushrooms, ferns, and unique small plants. 94099 Tue Aug 30 10-11:30 a.m. Nature Programs The programs offered by the Stevens Nature Center are held at the beautiful Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve unless otherwise noted. Trained, professional Preserve staff will assist you in expanding your outdoor skills, increasing your natural resource knowledge and enhancing your lifelong learning. Don't Wait Please register early. Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Oftentimes we are able to accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots to the class or adding additional classes. Classes that do not meet their minimum enrollment are generally cancelled. You could make the difference. Discover wildlife on the greenways of Cary!
