14 www.townofcary.org Nature Education Nature education programs take place at the Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve unless noted. Young Ecologists (age 10–13) Participants will build confidence and make new friends while expanding their knowledge and appreciation of the environment. Each session is primarily a field excursion with a classroom session relevant to a specific nature topic. Equipment provided. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) SUNSET HIKE Discover what is active at the nature preserve as the sun goes down! 97557 Sun Nov 20 4–6 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) If you think your child has seen everywhere at Hemlock Bluffs, think again! Journey to far corners of the Preserve on a quest to find nature rarely seen. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions. Bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) NOCTURNAL WILDLIFE Enjoy a hike as the sun sets.
