Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 15 Art Exhibitions SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER Cary Photographic Artists 9th Annual Open Juried Photography Exhibition Cary Senior Center Exhibit open Thursday, October 26—Friday, December 29 Artists' Reception Friday, October 27 6–9 p.m. Medium: Photography This will be the Cary Photographic Artists Ninth Annual Open Juried Photography Exhibition. The Cary Photographic Artists formed in January 2007 as a club dedicated to learning, teaching and sharing photographic art. It is the only club in Cary focusing on photography as a viable fine art form. The Value of Aging Cary Senior Center Monday, November 21- Friday, January 6 Artist Reception: Friday, December 2 6–8 p.m. Medium: Documentary Photography As a companion exhibit to Christine Adamczyk's Living Long Lives photography exhibit (Sep- Nov, Town Hall Gallery), local photographers produced fine art images that feature the theme The Value of Aging, with subjects other than people and animals. The images in the two exhibits will help us explore our ideas of how we see the value of aging in the objects and sights around us vs. people and animals. AUGUST-SEPTEMBER 14th Annual FALC Senior Exhibition Cary Senior Center Exhibit open Monday, August 22—Friday, September 23 Artists' Reception Friday, August 26 3–6 p.m. Medium: Mixed Cary Senior Center and the Fine Arts League of Cary will be hosting the 14th Annual Seniors Art Exhibition. This art show features two dimensional art made by local residents over the age of 55! The maximum size of work will be 18"x24" and no photography will be accepted. Fees and more details will be in the entry information. There will be ribbons and awards. A reception will be held for artists' and friends on Friday, August 26.
