Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 31 Education Distraction Proofing for your Dog (age 16 & up) This class is for dogs of any age that know the basics but out in public or off leash, when there are tempting alternatives and distractions they seem to know NOTHING. This class will improve your ability to control your dog in unexpected situations. By adding distractions and practicing commands off leash, your dog will improve self-control and make your public outings more fun. These are "Play and Learn" lessons, with emphasis on basic bridge concepts that will improve your skills and performance. Intended for novice through intermediate players. Pre-registration not required, drop-ins welcome, although an email in advance to the instructor would be appreciated to help with planning. This class is for ages 16+. During this class you will learn a little of everything; tunes, technique, and music theory with an emphasis on Celtic tunes. You will need a violin and bow in good condition and should be able to play the A, D and G scales in good tune. A review of safety strategies, rules of the road, knowing your vehicle, and common sense driving tips will equip you with the skills to be a safer driver. Cost for AARP members is $15, non-member is $20 (nonmembers pay an additional $5 to the instructor at the beginning of class).
