Cary Photographic Artists Area photographers gather each month for a sharing and a feature presentation by noted local photographers. Cary Photographic Artists meets the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:30 p.m. at The Cary Theater. Cary Playwrights' Forum The Cary Playwrights' Forum helps playwrights and aspiring playwrights of Cary and the surrounding areas in North Carolina to develop as dramatic writers. We offer regular feedback sessions with other playwrights, actors, and directors; the opportunity to collaborate in staged readings or productions of their original works; and educational classes and workshops. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at the Cary Arts Center. Fine Arts League of Cary Take in a monthly art lecture/presentation featuring accomplished artists of various disciplines. The Fine Arts League of Cary meets the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center. Everyone is welcome! September Cary Players Presents: Oklahoma! Laurey is a headstrong farm girl and the woman with whom both cowboy Curly and farm hand Jud have fallen in love. When she plays hard-to-get with earnest Curly and instead accepts dangerous Jud's invitation to the upcoming box social, tensions rise between the men and capture the interest of the whole town. October Philharmonic Association: Triangle Youth Jazz Ensembles Fall Concert Sunday, October 30 | 4 p.m. Adults $10; School-aged children $2 Cary Arts Center Hear our outstanding youth jazz ensembles in a varied program of big band selections. The Triangle Youth Jazz Band and Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra will open the concert, followed by our Essentially Ellington national competition 2016 finalist, the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble.
