You will learn how to play with opaque color powdered enamels alone with basic enameling techniques including kiln-firing, sifting, graffiti, and sgraffito to explore the unlimited color and pattern possibilities with your own creations. Tools will be provided. There is a one-hour break for lunch each day. Metals can be purchased. Prerequisite: A Beginning Metals and Jewelry class. The class will build on the introductory class and introduce students to more complex techniques as we make a pendant and ring. A $15 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. It makes forming more accessible and creates the depth and volume to a personal ornament. Prerequisite: A Beginning Metals and Jewelry class. Use hot and cold fabrication techniques to emboss, rivet, embellish, pierce; then solder with an acetylene torch. Metals are available for purchase at Center.
